How this is made
Some of this is made by hand and some of it is made by machine. Here is which.
Written by a person, always
The stories. Every word Eric says. The letters. What happens in Elmsham and who lives there. Trevor Field told these stories aloud in the 1990s, and his son wrote them down.
Made with a machine
The pictures are generated to a locked style and then chosen, corrected and approved by hand — nothing reaches a page without a person deciding it belongs there.
The narration is one licensed synthetic voice. It is not Trevor, and it is not pretending to be.
Never
Stories written by a machine. A copy of anyone’s voice without their written permission. Any child’s drawing, message or data used to train anything.
